Bicycle encounter model

Gudrun Wallentin | Published Saturday, October 29, 2016 | Last modified Friday, March 29, 2019

This Bicycle encounter model builds on the Salzburg Bicycle model (Wallentin & Loidl, 2015). It simulates cyclist flows and encounters, which are locations of potential accidents between cyclists.

Linear Threshold

Kaushik Sarkar | Published Saturday, November 03, 2012 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

NetLogo implementation of Linear Threshold model of influence propagation.

The effect of error on cultural transmission

Claudine Gravel-Miguel | Published Thursday, November 01, 2012 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

This is the replication of the experiment performed by Eerkens and Lipo (2005) to look at the effect of copying errors when specific traits are transferred from an individual to another.

Eixample-MAS Traffic Simulation

Àlex Pardo Fernandez David Sánchez Pinsach | Published Tuesday, January 22, 2013 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

This MAS simulates the traffic of Barcelona Eixample. Uses a centralized AI system in order to control the traffic lights. Car agents are reactive and have no awareness of the intelligence of the system. They (try to) avoid collisions.

code for graphical output

Mert Edali Hakan Yasarcan | Published Wednesday, November 05, 2014

This is the R code of the mathematical model that includes the decision making formulations for artificial agents. Plus, the code for graphical output is also added to the original code.

Cultural Spread

Salvador Pardo-Gordó Salvador Pardo Gordó | Published Thursday, April 02, 2015 | Last modified Thursday, April 23, 2020

The purpose of the model is to simulate the cultural hitchhiking hypothesis to explore how neutral cultural traits linked with advantageous traits spread together over time

Scilab version of an agent-based model of societal well-being, based on the factors of: overvaluation of conspicuous prosperity; tradeoff rate between inconspicuous/conspicuous well-being factors; turnover probability; and individual variation.

Musical Chairs

Andreas Angourakis | Published Wednesday, February 03, 2016 | Last modified Friday, March 11, 2016

This Agent-Based model intends to explore the conditions for the emergence and change of land use patterns in Central Asian oases and similar contexts.

Lakeland 2

Marco Janssen Wander Jager | Published Tuesday, September 12, 2017

Lakeland 2 is a simple version of the original Lakeland of Jager et al. (2000) Ecological Economics 35(3): 357-380. The model can be used to explore the consequences of different behavioral assumptions on resource and social dynamics.

Peer reviewed MigrAgent

Rocco Paolillo Wander Jager | Published Friday, October 05, 2018 | Last modified Wednesday, November 28, 2018

MigrAgent simulates migration flows of a population from a home country to a host country and mutual adaptation of a migrant and local population post-migration. Agents accept interactions in intercultural networks depending on their degree of conservatism. Conservatism is a group-level parameter normally distributed within each ethnic group. Individual conservatism changes as function of reciprocity of interaction in intergroup experiences of acceptance or rejection.

The aim of MigrAgent is to unfold different outcomes of integration, assimilation, separation and marginalization in terms of networks as effect of different degrees of conservatism in each group and speed of migration flows.
