The TPM Energy Transition Lab is looking for a PhD candidate in agent-based modelling (ABM) on the energy transition. The candidate will be appointed for 4-years to research how to better understand and accelerate the energy transition through innovative modelling approaches. The PhD candidate studies how the energy behaviour of individuals, households, companies and other stakeholders relates to investment and use of energy technologies, but also perceptions about energy systems affect ong[…]

This postdoc will help design, develop and apply an Agent Based Model simulating the effects of stressors on least bells vireos (an endangered bird species found in southern California). A project overview can be found here (https://serdp-estcp.org/projects/details/89fdcf5b-0c44-41f9-af97-fd1d45908863/rc22-3216-project-overview) and this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0DQPcSk-Qg) provides a 1/2 hour project summary. Questions can be directed to Dr. Pat Zollner using [email protected].
To develop simulation models to assess the impact of aporophobia (rejection of the poor) on countries’ welfare states and social variables such as poverty and inequality. The selected candidate should provide technical support to the project on modelling and simulation based on agents, design experiments, analyse simulation results and contribute to research articles.
The selected candidate will be appointed a full-time position (1,0 fte) as a Forsker II/Senior researcher in the NORCE Kristiansand office. The working language is English, although knowledge of or willingness to learn Norwegian will be an additional advantage.
We are looking for a researcher to complement our CMSS team in working on a variety of upcoming projects. The successful candidate will initially be mainly involved in programming agent-based models for an EU HORIZON project, which […]
The selected candidate will be appointed a part-time position (0,5 fte) as a Forsker/Researcher in the NORCE Kristiansand office. The working language is English, although knowledge of or willingness to learn Norwegian will be an additional advantage.
We are looking for a researcher to complement our Modelling and Simulation team. Initially, the successful candidate will be responsible for programming agent-based models of urban logistic systems in a H2020 grant that brings together indust[…]
Are you interested in interdisciplinary research projects? Do you like to work in a team of researchers working on societal challenges? We are seeking a post-doctoral researcher is interested in interdisciplinary research in the impact of climate change adaptation on poverty traps, and who likes to bridge research insights developed in computational science, environmental science, and developmental economics with practice.
As researcher you will be part of the Accelerating Scientific Disco[…]
TU Delft has an opening for a postdoctoral research fellow at the intersection of social simulation and high-performance algorithms. The goal of project is to develop methods to speed large-scale agent-based modelling (ABMs), for example by means of effective parallelization using High Performance Computing (HPC). The use of machine learning for efficient ABM simulations will enable uncertainty and global sensitivity analysis of large ensembles of ABM runs. The postdoc will use the HPC c[…]
