Developing artificial populations for digital twins and ABMs

Fully funded PhD assistantship modeling past and future changes in avian distributions on public lands throughout Alabama.

We are looking for diverse participants for a paid, hands-on summer research experience to learn more about the real-world impacts of disinformation. Students will choose topics that align with faculty expertise and pursue research projects that advance their skills in valuable STEM areas including data science, data analytics, information retrieval, applied machine learning, web archiving, and social computing.

This postdoc will help design, develop and apply an Agent Based Model simulating the effects of stressors on least bells vireos (an endangered bird species found in southern California). The research of the post-doc will be focusing at the modeling of human behaviour in selected cases of local social innovation (projects at neighborhood level).
