The Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture at the University of Tasmania, Australia, seek qualified applicants for two PhD projects. One project aims to develop integrated approaches for marrying spatial technologies with temporal process-based models (the purpose being to improve the spatio-temporal prediction of soil carbon at scale). The second project aims to develop algorithms for, and application of, process-based models for simulating impacts of crop waterlogging, and potential farming systems adaptation options thereto.
Scholarships provide living allowance of up to $AU32,192 per annum (2024 rate, indexed annually) for 3.5 years.
Tuition-based scholarships (which cover tuition fees only) and relocation allowance are also available.
