We are looking for a PhD candidate with background as programmer/systems developer specializing in agent-based modeling, particularly related to water and landuse decision-making. This position requires a background in environmental science, computer science, geography or related field, a specialty in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) with explicit skills in programming and development in computer applications. Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of agent-based models (ABM) and operational and programming skills in NetLogo (http://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/) and Java.
