The Research Associate will work with Prof Shane Johnson and Dr David Hudson on a project entitled “Migration Networks, Decisions and Immigration Policy”. The project will take a complex systems approach to the study of immigration policy with the aim of understanding migrants’ use of (off-line) social networks to learn about and adapt to changing legal environments. The project will involve the analysis of primary data collected through field experiments in Jamaica, and the use of agent-based computational models to test theory and simulated policies on documented and undocumented migration.
