Rostock Retreat on Simulation

The Rostock Retreat is an experimental format for scholarly exchange designed to encourage communication and collaboration on specific themes in a relaxed atmosphere. After two successful years on visualization and causality, the third Retreat will focus on simulation. This three-day event brings together theorists, methodologists, and applied researchers from across the social sciences and beyond in order to stir up the development of simulation methods, and the application of these methods, in demography and population studies. One of the main aims of these events is to provide a space for participants to interact, collaborate, and learn in order to inspire new ideas, hone skills but also have fun.

Each day of the Rostock Retreat will include a keynote lecture, a series of thematic workshops, interactive sessions for participants to exchange ideas and feedback, a poster session for participants to present ongoing work, as well as evening lectures on assorted topics.
