The annual Summer School in Individual-based Modelling will again be offered by the Department of Forest Sciences, Dresden University of Technology (Germany), July 10-18, 2014. This short course has been held annually since 2007, and is intended primarily for graduate students interested in using individual-based (or “agent-based”) models in their research. The instructors will be Drs. Uta Berger (Dresden), Steve Railsback (Humboldt State Univ., USA), and Cyril Piou (CIRAD, France); and the course will follow the textbook “Agent-based and Individual-based Modeling: A Practical Introduction”, Railsback & Grimm, 2012.
