The 3rd International Conference on Simulation and Modeling Methodologies, Technologies and Applications (SIMULTECH 2013 - http://www.simultech.org/) has an open call for papers, whose deadline is scheduled for February 5, 2013. We hope you can participate in this conference by submitting a paper reflecting your current research in any of the following areas:
- Simulation Tools and Platforms
- Formal Methods
- Complex Systems Modeling and Simulation
- Application Domains
SIMULTECH 2013 will be held in Reykjavik, Iceland, July 29 - 31, 2013.
The conference will be sponsored by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC) and co-organized by the Reykjavik University. It will be held in cooperation with the Movimento Italiano Modellazione e Simulazione (MIMOS), AIS Special Interest Group on Modeling and Simulation (AIS SIGMAS) and technically co-sponsored by the Society for Modeling & Simulation International (SCS), Liophant Simulation, Simulation Team and the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP). INSTICC is Member of the Object Management Group (OMG) and Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC).
The purpose of the 3rd International Conference on Simulation and Modeling Methodologies, Technologies and Applications (SIMULTECH) is to bring together researchers, engineers, applied mathematicians and practitioners interested in the advances and applications in the field of system simulation. Four simultaneous tracks will be held, covering on one side domain independent methodologies and technologies and on the other side practical work developed in specific application areas. The specific topics listed under each of these tracks highlight the interest of this conference in aspects related to computing, including Conceptual Modeling, Agent Based Modeling and Simulation, Interoperability, Ontologies, Knowledge Based Decision Support, Petri Nets, Business Process Modeling and Simulation, amongst others.
SIMULTECH is interested in promoting high quality research as it can be confirmed by last year acceptance rates, where from 125 submissions, 30% were accepted as full papers. Additionally, 21% were presented as short papers and 8% as posters.
Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and on CD-ROM support. CDNU A short list of presented papers will be selected so that revised and extended versions of these papers will be published by Springer-Verlag in Advances in Intelligent and Soft Computing Series book.
The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI), INSPEC, DBLP and EI (Elsevier Index).
All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SCITEPRESS Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/). SCITEPRESS is member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/).
Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference closing session. Please check the website for further information (http://www.simultech.org/BestPaperAward.aspx).
We also would like to highlight the possibility to submit to the following Special Sessions:
- Special Session on Manufacturing Simulation and Industrial Engineering - MSIE 2013 (http://www.simultech.org/MSIE.aspx)
- Special Session on Applications of Modeling and Simulation to Climatic Change and Environmental Sciences - MSCCEC 2013 (http://www.simultech.org/MSCCEC.aspx)
Workshops, Special sessions, Tutorials as well as Demonstrations dedicated to other technical/scientific topics are also envisaged: companies interested in presenting their products/methodologies or researchers interested in holding a tutorial are invited to contact the conference secretariat. Workshop chairs and Special Session chairs will benefit from logistics support and other types of support, including secretariat and financial support, to facilitate the development of a valid idea.
SIMULTECH 2013 will be held in conjunction with DATA 2013 (2nd International Conference on Data Management Technologies and Applications - http://www.dataconference.org/), ICSOFT 2013 (8th International Joint conference on Software Technologies - http://www.icsoft.org/), ICINCO 2013 (10th International Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics - http://www.icinco.org) and ICETE 2013 (10th International Joint Conference on e-Business and Telecommunications - http://www.icete,org). Registration to SIMULTECH allows free access to the DATA 2013, ICSOFT 2013, ICINCO 2013 and ICETE 2013 conferences (as a non-speaker).
Please check further details at the SIMULTECH conference website (http://www.simultech.org/).
