The course does not require prior knowledge of programming. During the lessons, we will conduct a lot of practical classes. The lessons have a strong interdisciplinary character and are not tied to particular models. The focus is all on the tools.
This course enables students to acquire sufficient capacity to produce models in many disciplines, especially economics (diffusion opinions, markets …), cognitive (learning …), social sciences (cooperation, coordination, reputation …), biological (adaptive systems …) .
There are ICT applications in many domains: geo-referenced models (simulations of phenomena in which the environment plays a role), BDI agents (agents who have goals and beliefs); complex systems (such as the dissemination of opinions on a network).
The course includes the creation of comprehensive exercises, guided by a teacher, starting from the model, and leading to implementation, simulation and analysis of results.
