This model explores a price Q-learning mechanism for perishable products that considers uncertain demand and customer preferences in a competitive multi-agent retailer market (a model-free environment).

WaterScape

Erin Bohensky | Published Monday, February 06, 2012 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

The WaterScape is an agent-based model of the South African water sector. This version of the model focuses on potential barriers to learning in water management that arise from interactions between human perceptions and social-ecological system conditions.

The model represents an archetypical fishery in a co-evolutionary social-ecological environment, capturing different dimensions of trust between fishers and fish buyers for the establishment and persistence of self-governance arrangements.

The model is then used for assessing three hypothetical and contrasted infrastructure-oriented adaptation strategies for the winter tourism industry, that have been previously discussed with local stakeholders, as possible alternatives to the “business-as-usual” situation.

ADAM: Agent-based Demand and Assignment Model

D Levinson | Published Monday, August 29, 2011 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

The core algorithm is an agent-based model, which simulates travel patterns on a network based on microscopic decision-making by each traveler.

Policy Formulation for Public Administration - Innovation

Bashar Ourabi | Published Tuesday, August 29, 2017 | Last modified Tuesday, August 29, 2017

Innovation a byproduct of the intellectual capital, requires a new paradigm for the production constituents. Human Capital HC,Structural capital SC and relational capital RC become key for intellectual capital and consequently for innovation.

Memetic Exploration of Demand

In this presentation, we use the concept of meme to explore evolution of demand.

Endogenous Dynamics of Housing Market Cycles

Birnur Özbaş Onur Özgün Yaman Barlas | Published Monday, September 09, 2013 | Last modified Wednesday, January 08, 2014

The purpose of this model is to analyze the dynamics of endogenously created oscillations in housing prices using a system dynamics simulation model, built from the perspective of construction companies.

Micro-level Adaptation, Macro-level Selection, and the Dynamics of Market Partitioning

César García-Díaz | Published Monday, October 19, 2015 | Last modified Monday, October 19, 2015

This model simulates the emergence of a dual market structure from firm-level interaction. Firms are profit-seeking, and demand is represented by a unimodal distribution of consumers along a set of taste positions.

This model allows for analyzing the most efficient levers for enhancing the use of recycled construction materials, and the role of empirically based decision parameters.
