This code can be used to analyze the sensitivity of the Deffuant model to different measurement errors. Specifically to:
- Intrinsic stochastic error
- Binning of the measurement scale
- Random measurement noise
- Psychometric distortions

This model computes the guaranteed viability kernel of a model describing the evolution of a population submitted to successive floods.
The population is described by its wealth and its adaptation rate to floods, the control are information campaigns that have a cost but increase the adaptation rate and the expected successive floods belong to given set defined by the maximal high and the minimal time between two floods.

A model that representa farmers potential to adopt bio-fuels in Georgia

Positive feedback can lead to “trapping” in local optima. Adding a simple negative feedback effect, based on ant behaviour, prevents this trapping

Model to simulation the landscape of possible shedding games

Marco Janssen | Published Sunday, May 16, 2010 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

This model simulates 2048 versions of shedding games and evaluates the consequences on the average length and the difficulty of the game agents experience. The purpose of the model is to understand th

A Multi-Agent Simulation Approach to Farmland Auction Markets

James Nolan | Published Wednesday, June 22, 2011 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

This model explores the effects of agent interaction, information feedback, and adaptive learning in repeated auctions for farmland. It gathers information for three types of sealed-bid auctions, and one English auction and compares the auctions on the basis of several measures, including efficiency, price information revelation, and ability to handle repeated bidding and agent learning.

A land-use model to illustrate ambiguity in design

Julia Schindler | Published Monday, October 15, 2012 | Last modified Friday, January 13, 2017

This is an agent-based model that allows to test alternative designs for three model components. The model was built using the LUDAS design strategy, while each alternative is in line with the strategy. Using the model, it can be shown that alternative designs, though built on the same strategy, lead to different land-use patterns over time.

This model simulates networking mechanisms of an empirical social network. It correlates event determinants with place-based geography and social capital production.

Neminem laedere: Socially damaging behaviours and how to contain them

Nicola Lettieri | Published Wednesday, June 23, 2010 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

First version of the model “Neminem laedere. Socially damaging behaviours and how to contain them” by Domenico Parisi and Nicola Lettieri

A Model to Unravel the Complexity of Rural Food Security

Samantha Dobbie Stefano Balbi | Published Monday, August 22, 2016 | Last modified Sunday, December 02, 2018

An ABM to simulate the behaviour of households within a village and observe the emerging properties of the system in terms of food security. The model quantifies food availability, access, utilisation and stability.
